Silloth

21st March

Weather:  Glorious, better than Spring, day.

Some surprisingly respectable scores on a day made for golf which brought out the best in a man who nearly had the scent of his native heath in his nostrils.  A tour de force by Juggy provided wins in the morning and afternoon and, of course, he won the day by a street.

Weather: Dull to dreich and eventually damp.

A very close thing AM with Phul and DP bringing in the same net scores.  RM brought home the bacon PM with a riled DK in close pursuit.

13th June

Weather:  Dull and damp to start, but steadily improving to a glorious evening

Dick Hirst, fresh and chipper after being chauffeured to the event, romped the morning with a fine net 72 and although JM and Barney managed to take the afternoon spoils Dick was still sufficiently in spirits to hang on and take the prize for the day.

Weather:  Calm and pleasant day which started slightly dull, but improved.

Phul showed his class in the morning to leave DK trailing in his wake by 4 shots.  In the afternoon DP and JM fought to a standstill and at the end of the day it took a bus ticket to prise DK and JM apart.

Weather: Bright with light winds.

Fitful Freen, DL, appeared to remind everyone of his class and in spite of heavy handicap matched the score of a sprightly JR in the morning.  In the afternoon DK and Phul fought it out to an exciting finish.  Winner of the day was Bomber.

Linden Hall / Burgham Park

Weather:  Dull and damp AM, but steadily improving

Bomber triumphed once more over a jaded field in the morning by recording the only sub-80 net score and in the afternoon Collin triumphed over an ever more minuscule field to win the day outright.

Craigielaw

31st October

Weather: Bright and sunny, but very cold

It's really a waste of paper and ink to say who triumphed here.  It was the man who has made this course his own.  In the morning Phul impertinently nicked the laurels and in the afternoon Robin breezed round with a fine net 70, but coasting along behind each of them was the marathon man himself.  DJR showed his breeding once more.

Weather:  Breezy, overcast with occasional bright spells

Bomber carried forward his burgeoning form from Dunstanburgh to scoop the pool in the morning, but in the afternoon BJ got his nose far enough in front to scoop the prize for the day.

Superb weather - a day borrowed from the middle of a fine Summer. Modifed holes on the course providing an even sterner test. Some slow play and new Freen, C. Wood, a common denominator, but Freens are slow to judge and quick to praise so a second chance beckons. Excellent greens and a very enjoyable course in the Torrance Devlin a less inspiring, American style, course with a couple of poor finishing holes. Good layout on a good day, especially for the time of year. Excellent value A very pleasant course in good condition with some interesting holes. Hobnobbing with superstar Doogie Donnelly who was wearing one of his finest orange helmets.
