Apologies from R.MacQueen
It was decided by vote to present a tankard to be kept for a year and inscribed with holders name and handed down each year for the Champion of Champion’s.
Also the following venues were fixed and tentative dates fixed, weather, courses, work and Rees’s marriage permitting.
March Dug Carnoustie (Mar 27th)
April Dave Downfield (May 1st)
May Johnny Birkdale/Formby May 29th/30th)
June/July Stuart Rosemount (July 3rd)
August Jimmy Foxtonhall (Aug 8th)
August Charlie Gleneagles (Aug 28th)
September Alf Muirfield (Set 25th)
All adjourned to the Dragon Pearl for very adequate Chinkie and were joined by Bob Morris. Rees made a pig of himself and had to leave half way thro’ and inspect a neighbouring gutter.
ORGANISER:- D.Kay
D.Rees won very well and Alf played unlike mustard. Rees won a fine prize of 6 golf balls, Harrods plugger and ball markers.
Highlights of the day was D.Kay getting a golden Ferret and Renton reckoning he got the come on from the waitress but couldn’t do anything about it due to his bad back which he never mentioned all day. Also Rees’s non- eagle at night.
